چکیده

This review covers the progress in the field of NMR imaging (NMRI), NMR microimaging, NMR microscopy or MR (micro) tomography as well as MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) over a period from June 2005 to may 2006 and is a continuation of the report from last year. The word ‘‘MRI’’ was used mostly in the medical or clinical field, but recently many authors in non-medical field uses ‘‘MRI’’ instead of the NMR imaging. In this review the word used in the original papers will be followed. The topics were limited to mainly basic, technical, and applicable aspects in the non-clinical research field. The following section of this report includes reviews and educational articles (Section 2), recent developments in instruments (Section 3), pulse sequences and data processing (Section 4), and novel applications concerning to other nuclei (Section 5), dynamics (Section 6), polymers (Section 7), plants (Section 8), foods (Section 9) and in vivo applications (Section 10).
